OGUNPOLY IPOKIA GETS ACCREDITATION, APPROVAL TO ADMIT STUDENTS

The Ogun State Government has announced that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board (JAMB) have granted full approvals for the take off of academic activities at the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia with immediate effect.
It wil be recalled that some students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta today visited the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta to express their concerns about the delay in the commencement of their examinations and continued strike action of the lecturers which they noted had greatly undermined the completion of their various programmes at the institution.

Although a section of the students displayed some unacceptable conduct while the interaction lasted but as a responsible government, we appreciate their anxiety and therefore assured them that government was working day and night to ensure that all issues relating their concerns were resolved.
Following several inspection visits to the site of the Polytechnic, we are delighted to report that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted accreditation to the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia to commence academic activities in18 programmmes

In a related development, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has also announced the opening of its portals for prospective students to enable them register for courses at the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

This development further confirms government’s position that the interest and welfare of all students of its various institutions as well as their parents is paramount and will always be accorded a pride of place by our government. We are confident that normalcy will return to these institutions very shortly.

For the benefit of all stakeholders, we like to state that the crisis arose in the first place from the refusal of the lecturers to call off their strike.

Among their demands is that government must pay them full salaries including the months they did not work on account of an illegal and totally unwarranted work to rule action. For the avoidance of doubt, Government restates that no one will be paid for work not done. And no one will be allowed to hold the good people of Ogun State to ransom.

We call on our students to immediately return to their classes as we continue to work round the clock to resolve other outstanding issues.

WHEN WILL MAPOLY RELEASE FORM FOR ND? - ASPIRANTS

It was sad to know till now MAPOLY is yet to released the new form for the ND aspirants and this is happening because of the order given to them by the state government not to sell ND form for the new intake into MAPOLY because of her recent transition into Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology.

According to what the governor said, Mapoly will not accept admission for the ND students, Ogun state polytechnic, Ipokia will be the one to accept admission for the new ND students. Of recent, ASUP mapoly gave two weeks ultimum for the Government to decide either Ipokia to put the ND application form on sales for the new ND aspirants or MAPOLY should admit the ND aspirants.

One week gone already now, we are hoping by next week friday, we will know what the government and MAPOLY ASUP concluded on. It is either Ipokia start selling form or MAPOLY sell and admit ND students if Ipokia won't do that.

I will advised the ND aspirants to have their plan A, then they can make MAPOLY as plan B. This is to save them for any heartbreak should in case MAPOLY won't later admit ND student and Ipokia also won't do. The aspirants can only hope that both government and asup change their mind on this decision to be in their favor. But while the aspirants wait, let them continue admission processing in another school now.

Beside you can enter MAPOLY without choosing them in JAMB, you will only need to pay for the change of institution after you have been given admission. I hope this post will give the aspirants enough understanding on this matter. Wish you all the best.

MAPOLY GIVES DEADLINE FOR SALES OF FORM

Authorities of Moshood Abiola polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun state has declared Friday, 27th October, 2017 has the deadline for the sales of admission form into Higher National Diploma (full time and part time) for the 2017/2018 academic session.

It would be recall that there had been speculations as to the admission if it will take place or not following pronouncement by the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun that mapoly should not admit any student due to its upgrade to a university of technology.

However, after a peaceful protest that was held by students across the state under the aegis of Rescue Ogun State Education Campaign on 3rd October, 2017, the governor allay the fears of the students by making it clear that only ND aspirants will not be admitted into mapoly as the institution will not go into extinction until after four years.

ASPIRANTS BLAME MAPOLY FOR NOT RELEASING ND FULL TIME FORM

In Maustech News community, aspirants can no longer wait anymore as they got tired why Mapoly is yet to release the ND Full time form for this year. These students need to know what they needed to do as soon as possible so that they can make their plans and decide their fate. But the late releasing of this form keep them in confusing state. Here is some of our community chat from aspirants.

Of recent this what the information we got from the ASUP Mapoly chairman:

As I speak to you now the September salary of members of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic is not guaranted because the government has not allowed us to admit students and this is the government that is not paying us a dime to pay salary. If they are going to start a university, why not make the University to take off and continue to run the polytechnic. As matter of fact, students that filled JAMB form this year to come to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, if you say you are not admitting those students now, two things will happen to them, they will wait until they are considered by their second choice which would never happen or they will put additional burden on the parents to go and pay more for change of institution meaning that we are not an organized institution in Ogun state which I don’t think we are . But what we are saying is that for this year that you have advertised, let them take students for this year, this school is still running, Ipokia is going on

We hope this will cleared the air about Mapoly not releasing the ND full-time form for this year yet. Mapoly isn't the problem here, the government is. Mapoly cannot do anything about this unless they got the approval of the government.

In our opinion, the ND full-time Form will be released before the end of the month or early next month. We urge you all most especially the aspirant to keep calm and have a little patience. As soon as the form is out, you will be notified on all our social media. Stay updated.

Is Mapoly Form Out?

Prior to our observation, we got to know that there are rumors going on regarding that the "Post Utme form for Moshood Abiola Polytechnic is out" and this have been putting panic into lot of aspirant because they couldn't find it updated on the school site (mapoly.edu.ng)

We @ MAUSTECH NEWS made our research and discovered the rumor isn't true. Please disregard the news that Mapoly form is out. As at the time of posting this, you can not register for Moshood Abiola Polytechnic form. Mapoly isn't selling POST UTME FORM as claimed but SCREENING FORM.

Another question being raised was if aspirants will apply for Mapoly or Maustech?

Answer: The founder of Maustech News, Ifeoluwa D. Ojo replied that the aspirants should relax and wait till the screening form is out as no one except the school management can decide that for now. But we all know that the institution is commencing her University upgrade in the coming session.

As soon as the screening form is out, you will be notify here on our official website maustechnews.blogspot.com and social media facebook.com/groups/maustechnews and facebook.com/maustechnews. Stay updated.
