Drama as student, lecturer exchange words in class room

There was a mild drama in HND1 department of Mass communication following a disagreement between a lecturer and a student.

PCM gathered that the disagreement erupted when a Senior Lecturer at the department, Wasiu Tejuosho claimed that one of his past students often pay him N250,000, a week before Ileya festival, as a means of appreciation.

It was observed that a student screamed at the top of his voice, shouting ‘na lie’.

Following the student’s claim, the class turned a market where noise got to the verge of calling the attention of the lecturer, thereby disrupting the class activities.

However, the lecturer, on an attempt to get the accused student, called on the school securities arresting over 15 students of the class for interrogation before nemesis caught up with the suspects.

The accused student, as at the time of filing this report was dragged to the school security unit for punishment

OGUNPOLY IPOKIA GETS ACCREDITATION, APPROVAL TO ADMIT STUDENTS

The Ogun State Government has announced that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board (JAMB) have granted full approvals for the take off of academic activities at the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia with immediate effect.

It wil be recalled that some students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta today visited the Governor’s Office in Abeokuta to express their concerns about the delay in the commencement of their examinations and continued strike action of the lecturers which they noted had greatly undermined the completion of their various programmes at the institution.

Although a section of the students displayed some unacceptable conduct while the interaction lasted but as a responsible government, we appreciate their anxiety and therefore assured them that government was working day and night to ensure that all issues relating their concerns were resolved.

Following several inspection visits to the site of the Polytechnic, we are delighted to report that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted accreditation to the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia to commence academic activities in18 programmmes

In a related development, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has also announced the opening of its portals for prospective students to enable them register for courses at the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia for the 2017/2018 Academic Session.

 This development further confirms government’s position that the interest and welfare of all students of its various institutions as well as their parents is paramount and will always be accorded a pride of place by our government. We are confident that normalcy will return to these institutions very shortly.

 For the benefit of all stakeholders, we like to state that the crisis arose in the first place from the refusal of the lecturers to call off their strike.

 Among their demands is that government must pay them full salaries including the months they did not work on account of an illegal and totally unwarranted work to rule action. For the avoidance of doubt, Government restates that no one will be paid for work not done. And no one will be allowed to hold the good people of Ogun State to ransom.

We call on our students to immediately return to their classes as we continue to work round the clock to resolve other outstanding issues.

When I woke up and saw students thronging to the social media with their hashtags, right in my head I knew they have been frustrated and saw the Need to act. 
Nonetheless , it Is worrisome that even with the embarrassing state of Nigerian Education and what students are made to pass through, constant disagreements on policies continue to ravage our campuses. 
I have heard arguments that politicians act the way they do because they don't have their kids in Nigerian public Varsities, while I agree to some extent, I believe it still boils down to lack of basic urge for responsibility. It is funny that it is when students file out or launch a Social Media campaign that conflicts receive very fast pace of resolution. In a situation where the world is clamoring for better Educated individuals, it is funny that our own country keep diminishing in quality but improves in quantity. 
One can begin to ask questions of if the Ogun State Government made a unilateral decision in deciding to turn Mapoly to a University, in a normal setting, the staff Union should be carried along when the decisions were made. 
It seems in Nigeria we care less about the time factor, administrators sometimes I think feel students should be ready to wait even longer. 

A responsible government should not wait till students protest or take policies that would harm them. 
While it is encouraging that students now explore the Social and Digital Media, the fundamental question one needs to ask is why disagreements need to take place from time to time in Nigerian Education sector, there has been arguments that Education is too cheap in Nigeria but Education especially for a developing country like ours should be made accessible for as low as possible. 
The #SaveMapoly Campaign shows the continued dearth we have in the Education sector, the need to revamp the sector and the need to allow more funding which would be monitored from time to time. 
Sometimes it's not just about establishing a University, it's about not delaying even the future of the thousands of students policies affect, only those that take Education seriously, build a future. 
All stakeholders should join the voice to #SaveMapoly and bring everyone to listen to the plight of this beautifully made students even as they cry in pain.

Ogun State Government Plan To Sack MAPOLY ASUP CHAIRMAN Kola Abiola - Abdulqudus Ogundapo

The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics,Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta chapter ,Comrade Kola Abiola might be sacked any moment from now ,PLATFORM TIMES gathered authoritatively.

Abiola who has been leading the vibrant union of the institution against the plan by the Ogun State government to change the Polytechnic to a University of Science and Technology without poper arrangement for the staff was said to have been marked as the rebel leader that must be showed the exit of the Polytechnic .


PLATFORM TIMES' investigation revealed that the government was not comfortable with his style of leadership and might wield the big stick on him for 'being sturborn'.

Ogun State government has announced its plan to move almost all the staff of MAPOLY to Ipokia to kick off the new Polytechnic established in its replacement while it begins the new University in Abeokuta.

Findings by PLATFORM TIMES show that the state government has written the union through the ministry of Education of its stance on the matter.

The letter which was obtained by PLATFORM TIMES states that there was no going back in the plan to transform the Polytechnic into a University.

The letter also states that the workers have the option to either apply for job at the university or continue with the Polytechnic,but, in Ipokia.

An unconfirmed report has it that a meeting was going on as at the time of filing the report to perfect the sacking of the Union leader on the thrump charges with a view to distabilising the union .

The Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Today, is set to releases the new academic calendar for the commencement of the second semester Examination following the MAUSTECH/OGUN POLY crisis which disrupted the School second semester's academic calendar.

PRESS CLUB MAPOLY learnt that there was an Academic Board meeting held today where the new examination date was deliberate upon in order to begin the second semester examinations.

It would be recalled that The first phase HND Examination was scheduled to began on the 18th of September 2017. 

 Meanwhile, The meeting was said to be inconclusive and by Tomorrow the new academic calendar would be out..

THE EFFECTS OF MAPOLY TRANSITION TO UNIVERSITY ON ITS STUDENTS

It is no longer news that Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere Abeokuta Ogun State has been converted into Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology. The Transition has Led

to the following problems:

=> Lecturer Protest against Mass Labor Turnover

=> Delay in the Examination of HND 2 FT/EV

=> Communication Gap between State Government and Management of MAPOLY

=> Inconsistent Lecture for ND1 & ND 2 FT/EV

=> Failure to admit new students for ND 1 and HND 1 FT/EV

Based on the aforementioned problems each stakeholder (Government, MAPOLY Managements and Students) are agitating for their right but the noise of the grass root (Students) seems not to be heard. The transition has posed a significant effect on students such as;

=> Students that have any issue such as Carryover/ Extra year, how will they complete their programme?

=> Students have lost focus on reading most especially HND 2 FT/EV which can significantly lead to mass failure if the examination commences soon.

=> Students that hold Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Certificate have no reference point anymore based on which school they finished from.

=> National Youth Service Corps of Outgoing HND 2 FT has been delayed as well because no mobilization without final examination

=> Delay in youths plan as various outgoing students have individual plans which have been affected negatively by the delay in their final examination.

      However, the crisis going on wouldn’t have occurred if the Ogun state government had learnt from the TASUED/TASCE crisis, which recently occurred as a result of lack of funding. As student(s) of MAPOLY, we have not said the transition is not a good achievement but proper structure ought to have been put in place, structures that will mutually benefit both parties (Government and MAPOLY stakeholders). 

The Government should not have scrapped MAPOLY while the new MAUSTECH was being established. Better still, MAUSTECH should be entirely new varsity at Ipokia instead of destroying laid down structure in MAPOLY. The implication is that if MAPOLY had not been scrapped by statue and simply related to Ipokia, (name can be changed to Ogun Poly) then the workers will no longer have the right to argue that they cannot be transferred or moved to the same institution new location. This issues has posed a very negative effects on both students’ and MAPOLY Staff as the student’s graduation is not guaranteed while the staffs’ employment is at stake.

Concerning Profferable solutions, the issues are still not far-fetched and rectification can be done amicably if the following can be considered based on the problems and its tremendous effect on students and MAPOLY Staff :

=> MAPOLY Staffs should be included in transition committee to ensure mutually but beneficial satisfactions.

Government should have a general meeting with all Management both teaching and non teaching staff in order to develop goals and planning strategy which can resolve the current issues 

=> They should consider the current human resources in MAPOLY by retaining qualified staff for University and deploy others to new establishment.

=> MAUSTECH should be entirely a new university at Ipokia to avoid needless argument.

=> MAPOLY should be de-scrapped, if already scrapped, movement to a new site will them simply be on disarticulation of co-habilitation policy.

     It is high time the institution enjoy the goodness of the government, OGSG should support the institution (MAPOLY) by completing the road leading to the institution, building more lecture room, practical room, and payment of staffs salaries.

    In conclusion, all government should learn from this, the OGSG has basically focused on infrastructure in the state which is a very good idea, but then again, infrastructure cannot go in isolation. Others aspect should also be considered basically on EDUCATION and ENTREPRENEURSHIP and AGRICULTURE. If the students are not schooled or empowered, they might destroy the infrastructure of the government. Agriculture however will promote the culture and tradition of the state and as a result leads economy boom in the state as well as job opportunities.

MAUSTECH Unrealistic, ‘A Wild Goose Chase’ – ASUP

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, (MAPOLY) branch, Abeokuta, has described as a ‘wild goose chase’, the plan by the Ogun State Government to establish Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology, in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The union, equally expressed doubts over the state government’s capacity and ability to fund the new university in a sustainable manner, considering that salaries of the MAPOLY staff were being paid from students’ school fees.

Rising from a special congress to review the proposed university, yesterday, the union, in a communiqué signed by the ASUP state chairman, Mr. Kola Abiola, the union declared it no longer have confidence in the membership and activities of the transition committee led by former Executive Secretary, National University Commission, Prof. Peter Okebukola.

The communiqué read in part: “What are the resources on ground to facilitate the approval to commence operations in the proposed Ogun State Polytechnic? How is MAUSTECH and the new Ogun State Polytechnic going to be funded, especially the funding of overhead costs in the short run?

“How do we ensure on a sustainable basis, the payment of salaries of over seven hundred (700) existing staff of MAPOLY? This is a pertinent question, given the fact that presently, salaries are mainly sourced from school fees paid and especially now that admission is being suspended and even the new university and Ogun State Polytechnic will of necessity admit less numbers of students (both being new institutions of learning respectively?”

The union, however, noted that the transition committee had lost its relevance, submitting “ASUP MAPOLY chapter is strongly in support of the establishment of Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology.”

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, otherwise known as MAPOLY, is a big deal in our educational sector. It is so big a deal that it is has been a subject of discourses on many academic fronts, particularly, in the field of communication and journalism. But chances are most Nigerians reading this article would ask “MAPO what? Wetin?”

That was precisely the response I got when I spoke with a group of friends in Ibadan during a workshop I was privileged to be a beneficiary, about a month ago. Not a single person out of then had any clue on some of their alumni let alone of other schools.

Nigerian Students and their aversion for researches and history.

In the course of the training, our conversation veered off into various topics and I seized the opportunity to educate them on the merits of facts finding/verification of information before drawing a conclusion. Also, I told them a few things about MAPOLY which they did not know earlier. Before the end of this piece, I will tell you some of it too.

However, few days ago, Sahara Reports reported that The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested seven National Diploma (ND) students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State for alleged offenses bordering on conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretenses and possession of forged documents. In other words, some students of Moshood Abiola polytechnic were arrested for internet fraud. 

As expected, some machinators have seen this news story as an avenue to launch their machinations on the school. They have neglected the meat of the story which is internet fraud and its gaining of an unprecedented ascendancy among Nigerian youth. Rather, they have decided to attack the brand MAPOLY and unsparingly perpetuate their own mudslinging activities.

Money and Fame are inseparable duo. They are the twin factors that frame the minds of young people coming of age in Nigeria. The mad rush of becoming wealthy and famous among Nigerian youths has led to the exemplification of immoral and illegal acts among them. This is not limited to any ethnic group, religion or academic institution; it cut across all divides.

News reports abound on internet fraudsters that had been arrested from different higher institutions in Nigeria. In one of SaharaReporters pieces, in 2015, three students Fisayo Adetoro, Emmanuel Omole, and Wale Ayeni‎ who specialize in defrauding unsuspecting members of the public through the internet that were arrested were linked to JABU AND FUTA.

Also, EFFC on 26th July, 2016 reported The EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, arrested five suspected undergraduate scammers. Four from the Federal University of Technology Akure, (FUTA) and one from Adekunle Ajashin University, Akungba, (AAUA). 

Similarly, an online news medium, ‘hotnaijanews' Published a news story on 6th June, 2013 which reads ‘

Five undergraduates and four other Nigerians were on Monday, June 3, 2013 arrested by Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over internet-related fraud.

The undergraduates, who are undergoing different courses in different institutions of higher learning, were rounded up in Ibadan, Oyo State in a sting operation.

They are:

Sunkanmi Odewale – 200 level Mechanical Engineering student of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State;

Olowofola Tolu – 300 level Economics student of Lead City University, Ibadan;

Ekundayo Damilola – 300 level Computer Science/Economics student, Lead City University, Ibadan;

Adelabu Kolawole – HND II Purchasing and Supply student of Ibadan Polytechnic, Ibadan;

Bankole Oluwaseyi Fisayo – OND II Marketing student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

Others are:

Okewole Adesesan – Real Estate Manager with Sesan Okewole & Sons Limited;

Emmanuel Ubaman – trader;

Fisayo Ajibola – Travel Agent with Milleage Travel and Tours;

Oyebisi Femi – a fish farmer.

The suspects who regularly milk their unsuspecting victims via the internet were arrested in different locations at Oluyole Estate extension, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Items recovered from them include eight laptops, one mini-laptop, two Ipads; two Honda cars; a Toyota Camry and Toyota Venza cars.’

Apparently, the ogre of internet fraud is generally wrestling with Nigerian youths and it has eaten deeply into their fabrics. This menace is prevalent on our streets and at our schools. It is pervasive everywhere, here, in Nigeria. 

Therefore, our collective effort is needed to douse it’s aggravating power. From government’s introduction of potent policies to curb its spread , high institutions of learning’s organisation of orientation for their students, to parents going back to the roots by retracing their steps to where they have misstep and faltered in their parental duties to inculcate values and morals into their children.

Other than castigating institutions, such as the current malicious attacks that has been showered on MAPOLY. As students are unarguably the products and best images of the homes they have come from.

It is no more outlandish that we'd always have chaffs among wheats. Every institutions and homes has its own bad eggs that are ready to drag the hardly earned name through the mire. 

This current situation validates a Yoruba aphorism which goes ‘Ti Oro ba gbe omo ara ilu, kosi aburu ninu re, amo ti Oro ba gbe omo oba, won a kii'gbe eemo wolu' which could be sparingly translate as ‘when the Oro cult members arrest the son of an ordinary man, it sparks no issue. But when the king's son gets arrested it sparks terror and trouble.

I wondered why everyday Nigerians—ignorantly derive joy in demarketing things and peddle hearsays. I know of people who haven’t been to some certain places, yet, they speak I’ll f those places as though they has been there. Isn’t that hilarious and confounding?

To be noticed in Nigeria, you need to understand the art of bluster, of vain and empty conceit. MAPOLY apparently didn’t fall in the sphere of schools that engage in such an act. Consequently, Nigerians don’t give the time of day to anyone who doesn’t court and cultivate their friendship and attention.

It is at this point, that I’ll have to mention some of MERITORIOUS MAPAITES.

I’ll start with my wonderful ‘Egbon Energy', the Energy Editor of the New Telegraph newspaper, ADEOLA YUSUF has bagged the Africa Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC) award in South Africa.

He is the first and only winner of most consistent energy reporter award by the highest body of petroleum experts in Nigeria, Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE).

He had his educational training in Mass Communication at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, where he graduated as the School of Communication and General Studies’ overall best student for both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in 2003/2004 academic session.

He has travelled to major countries of the world for conferences, seminar and awards on energy reporting and investigative journalism, including Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas, United States; Gulf of Guinea (GOG) conference in London, United Kingdom; and the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) function in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Did you know that the present governor of Ogun State, Gov. Ikleel Ibikunle Amosun studied Accounting at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic? Yes, he’s an Alumnus

Similarly, in the early 90’s your darling Funke Akindele otherwise known as Jenifer studied Mass Communication 

The ebullient Keke Ogunbe of Kennis Music was bred in Mapoly. 

Not forgetting Alhaji Ayinde soaga of NTA, Ganiyu Olowu of Center spread Advertising Agency etc.

A handful of thoroughbred scholars had been bred in MAPOLY, like Drs. Sulaiman Osho, Goke Rauf, Sola Adeosun, Sina Aina and many other scholars like Profs. Idowu Sobowale, Lai Oso, Bayo Oloyede and a host of others who have robust relationship with the school.

It is noteworthy to state it here, that the best graduating student of the department of Performing Arts Theatre, University of Ilorin for the academic session 2015/16, Abiose Lukman is an alumnus of Mapoly.

Cumulatively, at present, I’m a student at the department of English, University of Ilorin. But once a ‘mapaite’, is always a ‘mapaite’. I hold an Ordinary National Diploma in Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in 2012.. Therefore, I can confidently say; MAPOLY remains an epitome of the tripartite: Research, Teaching and Excellence.

FG Sets Up Negotiating Teams With Polytechnics, Education Colleges

The Federal Govern­ment has inaugurated two separate teams to renegotiate the agreements it reached with staff unions in the nation’s public Colleges of Education (CoEs) and Polytechnics in 2010.

The Minister of Educa­tion, Malam Adamu Adamu, who inaugurated the teams in Abuja, said the agreements were due for renegotiation since 2013 but the exercise did not take place because of some unforeseen circum­stances.

A statement made avail­able to The AUTHORITY on Wednesday by the Ministry said the Minister charged members of the renegotiat­ing teams to study the agree­ments entered into with all the unions with a view to reaching a workable and sus­tainable agreement.

“As members of the gov­ernment teams, you are ex­pected to play your role with skill and efficiency to come up with agreements that will help in stimulating rapid growth of the Colleges of Ed­ucation and Polytechnics and make them more competi­tive and attractive”, he said.

Chairman of Governing Council, Federal Polytech­nic, Damaturu, Moham­med Ababakar, is to chair the team to renegotiate with Polytechnic Unions, while the Chairman of Governing Council, Federal College of Education, Obudu, Dr Obi Anthony, leads the team to renegotiate with Unions in Colleges of Education.

Each team comprises 14 members made up of rel­evant stakeholders, including representatives of the Office of the Secretary to the Gov­ernment of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment as well as Ministry of Finance.

Others are representatives of Ministry of Justice, Min­istry of Budget and National Planning, and that of Nation­al Salaries, Incomes & Wages Commission.

MAPOLY, MAUSTECH WILL CO-EXITS ON CAMPUS - ASUP

We want to thank all students who made their time available to come for the peaceful protest. This is to notify all students that the issue has now been resolve as the ASUP and NASU chairmen as they met with the Governor Sen. Ibikunle Amosun with some other stakeholders and it has been assured that‎ nobody will suffer any job loss.

Mapoly and Maustech will co-exist on campus and this will take effect by September. A formal conference will be held tomorrow morning by the ASUP, NASU and other stakeholders to official come to terms.

MAPOLY SHUT DOWN ALL ACTIVITIES

The latest news reaching us here at Mapoly News Feed states that Mapoly Shut down all her activities as no one is allowed in to the institution. The students and the staffs all outside. This is as a result of the recent development of what happened yesterday.

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, have suspended academic activities indefinitely. The reason behind the halt in teaching in the institution, which on July 3rd, upgraded into a University of Science and Technology by the National Universities Commission (NUC), was based on the alleged recommendations by the Professor Peter Okebukola-led transition committee that about 250 of its members be sacked and re-apply to the management of the university.

Speaking with newsmen after its Congress was the branch chairman, Comrade Kola Abiola, who said that the Committee had so far taken decisions without considering the plight of the existing workers of the Polytechnic. Abiola said, “As stakeholders, there is an adage which says ‘you can’t shave a man’s head in his absence’, our hair is being attempted to be shaved in our absence, some people the Governor has gathered as transition committee have decided to do what they feel like without considering the plight of the people in the system and that was not the intention of the government.” “Since they have been inaugurated, we’ve only been briefed once and a lot of actions have been taken and we don’t know anything.

Professor Okebukola has said that we are all going to reapply again and one of the members of the committee, Dr Ebenezer Nkom said on air that as of July 3, 2017, MAPOLY has seized to exist, meaning that we don’t have a job and we don’t have students again and that is what we don’t understand.” “The congress has directed that we suspend all academic activities until we are properly briefed as to what is happening in the Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology and Moshood Abiola Polytechnic.” “And the congress has also directed that both Professor Okebukola and Dr Nkom have been declared persona non grata in MAPOLY and we call on the Governor to find capable replacement for them because they are no longer welcome on this campus. They are no longer welcome in the school they failed to recognize.” Okebukola when contacted denied all allegations saying the committee will meet the entire workforce of the Polytechnic on Wednesday (today).

The former Executive Secretary, NUC, assured that no member of the staff of the Polytechnic would suffer joblessness. He said, “This is not true, it’s fake news because no document or instruction has been issued to anybody. We’ve not met, nobody has issued any directive to anybody on anything, and we are only meeting tomorrow.” “They are just speculating, it is at Wednesday’s meeting that some committees will present their reports after which we are meeting all staff on Wednesday and decide on what to do.

They are only being pre-emptive and that is quite unfortunate.” “I have met the Chairman of the Union and I have assured them that nobody will suffer any joblessness, as far as I am still a member of the committee and that I will never compromise on the standard NUC expects for a staff in a University. I am assuring them of smooth transition, it will be glorious and we are all going to smile.”

UPDATES ON MAPOLY BECOMING A UNIVERSITY TO RUN A MULTI-CAMPUS SOON

Ogun Governor, Mr Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday signed the bill to upgrade the state-owned Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta to Moshood Abiola University of Science

and Technology, Abeokuta. Also signed into law is the bill to establish the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia in Yewa area of the state. Amosun signed the bills during the state’s Executive Council meeting at the governor’s office in Abeokuta. 

Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, He said the MKO university which would operate a multi- campus system, was expected to boost science and technology in the state. This is the highest bestowed on the late MKO Abiola, the presumed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential poll rated worldwide as one of the freest and best elections in the history of the country. The administration of the late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha had arrested and detained Abiola for declaring himself president following the annulment of the election by military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida. Ogun had named the state polytechnic and the state stadium in Abeokuta after him. Amosun commended the State House of Assembly for the speedy passage of the bill. 

In an interview with newsmen after the occasion, Mr Suraj Adekunbi, the Speaker, said the House gave the bill accelerated passage because of the priority attention the government accorded education.

He noted that the establishment of the two institutions would create more jobs in the state. The House had on Jan. 31 passed the MKO Abiola University Bill and the Ogun State Polytechnic, Ipokia, Bill.

The Third edition of the Nigerian Campus Cooking Contest (N3C) is here as it sets to invade South-west Nigeria. Nigeria Campus Cooking Contest is an annual event aimed at improving and discovering the best cooking talents in the country.
