SCHOOL FEE PAYMENT PORTAL CLOSED

This is to inform the students that the portal has been closed for the payment of the school fee for the 2016/2017 session as said earlier by the school but not finally.

Students who are yet to pay have been asking if it will still be open? Yes! It will still be open by next week but with increment of #5,000 naira for a week.

As soon as it is open, ensure you pay for it to avoid your portal shut down finally.

Information has it genuine that the school fees portal will be closed today by exactly 12pm.

Students are urged to pay their school fees before 12pm today as the management has directed its closure.

If it would be reopened, additional of the penalty fee would be introduced.

MAPOLY extend the closure of school portal for payments, registration

Management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic has extended the deadline for registration for all categories of students for the First Semester, 2016/2017 academic Session.

The deadline was earlier slated for today, Friday, 10th February, 2017.

According to a press release issued by the Head, Public Relations Unit of the institution, Sulaimon Adebiyi on Friday, the management urged the students to take advantage of the opportunity.

The management also said it will not not re-consider its decision once the portal is eventually closed.
The release however did not contain the newly-approved date for registration deadline

MAPOLY needs N40M to become degree- awarding institution-Rector

The Rector explained that the first phase would involve   two departments which he said  include Mass Communication for the  degree programme.

Itiola stated this while defending the 2017 budget proposal of the institution before the House of Assembly committee on finance and appropriation.

He also said the N40million would cover the expenses of the registration with National Universities Commission (NUC) and the resource evaluation visit by the commission.

He however, said, the institution has prepared to receive the officials of National Board of Technical Education for the re-accreditation of Mass Communication in the institution.

While defending  the budget of the polytechnic before  the house, the Rector said a  total expenditure of N2.6billion  which include

the recurrent which would  gulp N2billion while  the capital expenditure would take  N600million.

He  further explained  that the overhead and the personnel cost would  take N400million and N1.6billion respectively.

The Rector also  disclosed that the institution plans to spend N2million naira on rehabilitation and repairs of street light across the school campus.

Itiola added that the thinking by management of the institution of replacing as well as illuminating  the campus environment is in order to prevent un-wholesome activities that would have taken place under dark environment.

Meanwhile, the Chairman Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Governing Council, Chief. Alaba Lawson and other members of the council have been proposed  to get N35million sitting allowance in 2017 fiscal year.

According to the proposed 2017 budget estimate,  Alaba Lawson, other members of the council and secretariat staff  would get N35million for  next year.

This was  sighted during the defence of 2017 proposed budget estimate at the committee on finance and appropriation at Ogun state House of Assembly.

It was gathered that the honorarium and sitting allowance in which N2.9million would be spent  on monthly basis for allowances on the members  for statutory meeting and others.

Mass communication releases first semester results for ND2 full time/part time, ND1 Full time only

This is to notify you all that the first semester result which was initially posted online has now been posted at the AMACOS Notice board for the outgone ND2 full time/part time and the ND1 full time going to ND 2 as  at today.

The concerned students can now move down to campus to check their results
