Students of Mapoly Will Pay For Damages - Governor Amosun Says




Governor Ibikunle Amosun has vowed that all the students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic ,Abeokuta would be made to pay penalty for allegedly destroying property in some areas in Abeokuta
during the protest.
Amosun also said he would not pay the staff of MAPOLY for the three Months they stayed off work,claiming that the workers in the Polytechnic were blackmailing his government.

The Governor stated at the sideline of the commissioning of skills aquisition centre at Ogun State Technical College ,Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

Amosun disclosed that his administration has acquired a heavy machine from Germany for mechanical students,saying, there is no going back on the plan to establish new
Polytechnic in Ipokia.

While reacting to the Protest by Students of MAPOLY on Monday and Tuesday, Amosun lamented that the students had damaged a lot of property during their protest ,threatening that all the students would be made to pay penalty when they resume .

Meanwhile, the government has listed eighteen courses that have been accredited by the NBTE  include:
  1. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering Technology
  3. Civil  engineering
  4. Building Technology
  5. Architectural Technology
  6. Quantity Surveying
  7. Estate Management Valuation
  8. Surveying and Geo-Informatics.


Others are: 

  1. Urban and Regional Planning
  2. Science Laboratory Technology 
  3. Computer Engineering
  4. Statistics
  5. Leisure and Tourism
  6. Management Arts & Industrial Design
  7. Mass Communication
  8. Business Administration
  9. Accountancy
  10. Marketing.
